about

These three tracks were performed and recorded live by Mark Allwood as part of International Drone Day and the third track was played during Trent Radio's Drone Day broadcast on Saturday May 30th, 2020. The intention of these tracks was to create somewhat minimalistic drones that transport the listener to a meditative state. Lots of analog grunge and low end on these tracks and all recorded with a Moog Matriarch and Moog Sub Phatty synthesizers plus additional hardware effects units. All songs were performed on the spot and fully improvised with each instrument going into a specific channel. Very little done in terms of advanced production to preserve the natural vibes these pieces were performed in. Headphones are highly recommended to take advantage of the low frequencies and stereo field of the Moog analog synthesizers.
